  For more than three years, between 2003 and 2007, I have attended hundreds of business dinners in China. They were a mandatory predicament on the trips to audit suppliers with my Chinese teammates. This blog describes experiences to be expected in such events. I normally visited companies in small Chinese cities, with just a couple of million inhabitants and the infrastructure of a village.  Once, my friend and I declined the dinner invitation and were happily relaxing with a good bottle of wine in the hotel lobby. A hurried Chinese came to the hotel asking us to follow him for dinner, explaining that important people were waiting. We tried the wine tasting as an excuse, but the person invited himself to join us. As soon as we filled his cup, he gulped down all the wine showing us the empty glass with the "Gan Bei!" toast and urging us to do the same. In Chinese, Gan Bei means empty glass.   D21: 01/11/2017  - Turismo em San Pedro de Atacama Este seria nosso último dia em San Pedro de Atacama antes de seguirmos viagem e contratamos um tour que duraria o dia inteiro. Este tour foi para o Parque Nacional dos Flamingos, Piedras Rojas e Lagunas Altiplânicas. Na nossa viagem de 2015 com o Paulo e a Dulce nós tentamos fazer este percurso de moto e não deu certo porque o motor da minha moto ferveu na subida para as lagunas e a areia fofa tornou a pilotagem bem complicada. Então fica a dica: é melhor e mais divertido fazer este tour de Van. Acordamos cedo, tomamos café e saímos para esperar a Van na esquina da pousada. Estava frio, apesar do sol brilhar com força. Nossa primeira parada foi o Parque dos Flamingos. Para chegar lá, andamos aproximadamente 40km por asfalto até Toconao e daí seguimos mais 25km por estrada de rípio até o Parque Laguna Chaxa, onde está a Reserva Nacional dos Flamingos.  Nossa aventura no Peru superou as expectativas. Até este ponto correu tudo bem. Apesar do planejamento super detalhado antes da viagem, tivemos alguns imprevistos que agregaram um tempero de aventura à viagem. Em resumo, foi tudo ótimo.  Quem está acompanhando os capítulos deve imaginar que a viagem está chegando ao fim, mas não é assim. Ainda teremos 15 dias de aventuras pela frente, com diversas visitas paradas no Chile, Argentina e Brasil. A coisa não termina antes do fim! Acompanhe os próximos capítulos. D19: 30/10/2017  - Iquique a SP Atacama 487km Acordei cedo e saí passear pelas redondezas do hotel enquanto os outros aventureiros estavam descansando um pouco. O hotel Spark Iquique fica a uma quadra da praia em um lugar bem urbanizado. Há um estacionamento nas redondezas onde me deparei com diversos motor home estacionados.  Pelo jeito as pessoas param em Iquique para passar uns dias e vão ficando até acabar o dinheiro.
